Significant frame drop in file with many objects
1353 2 - Started by hbeach, last post from Lars Wernlund
I have noticed a huge performance drop in my files where I have many objects - whether it be 10-12 sketchup imports, several hundred LED video panel objects, or just building a venue or space with objects within Capture itself.
With objects hidden I see a no dip in expected performance.
Using the OpenGL engine (as to still utilize transparencies), Capture 2018, most recent update.
My specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700
GTX 1080Ti FE
16gb of Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz
Samsung 970 Evo m.2 SSD 500gb
The afore...

Feature Request - Unique ID and Position
1028 1 - Started by Daniel B. Chapman, last post from Alexander Joseph
Hello!
First, I would like to say I am really enjoying Capture 2018 and it is a wonderful addition to my toolkit. I'm a designer in the United States and I have a couple feature ideas that I think would make Capture easier to use for designers here.
First, in a standard theatrical plot we usually use a combination of Position / Unit to uniquely identify fixtures. In this case the 'First Electic 1' would and 'Second Electric 1' would both be Unit '1'. Obviously that doesn't fit in with the mod...

Transalting a scene
1088 2 - Started by Deleted User, last post from Deleted User
New to Capture. I can rotate and zoom a scene (like a stage with actors and lights above etc.) BUt often find after rotating I would like to move the whole lot (I.E. Translate) up, down or to one side.
At the moment I have to zoom out a bit and then - in design - select everything in, on and around the stage - then move the lot in the desired direction. I was wondering if there was a navigation shortcut that would make the simpler.

Help - Finding Drawing in Views
939 1 - Started by Deleted User, last post from Deleted User
Is there a quick way to centre the drawing/plot in a View - Like a 'Zoom All' function that sizes the plot to the window and puts it in the centre I have managed to 'loose' the drawing in a view by zooming too much and cant find it!
Many Thanks
Peter

Hello,
I cannot find how to control scenes via DMX, in the scene I can only define a DMX slot, not a patch.
Thanks in advance

PDF import

Hey there,
i'm still working on nexum.
Very Often i'm getting PDF-Plans of Venues. I used to start from there to draw my touring Rigg on top of their PDF Plan. I was not able to find a funktion to import the PDFs and scale it in an appropriate workflow.
Am i missing something
Thanks in advance

Lower atmosphere fog level
1125 1 - Started by ntbutler, last post from IRuxton
Hi all.
Is there any way to lower the amount of atmosphere fog in the live display I can see in the rendering settings how to lower the quality of the atmosphere, but I can't see how to reduce the actual amount of fog that is being rendered.
Thanks

DMX Control Scene
1573 2 - Started by Alexander Joseph, last post from Alexander Joseph
Hello Capture team.
What is the reason for giving each scene slot 4 DMX steps
Because of this we can only have 64 numbers for scene slots.
Agreed that we rarely have more than 64 scene changes, but i need higher numbers to better organice my scenes.
e.g. scene change in part 1 = 10. Two scene changes in part 7 =70 71
Best regards,
Alexander
