Feature request - render queue
1791 1 - Started by Erik Docktor, last post from Lars Wernlund
Now that I've got a 1080 in my Capture machine, renders go a lot faster than 'overnight'. I'd love a way to queue up multiple snapshots for render so I could make use of this newfound power.

Argo vs. Nexum
1968 1 - Started by Cole Pierce, last post from Lars Wernlund
Hello all, I upgraded from Argo to Nexum when it came out and instantly noticed a major slow down on all my computers as soon as I turn on a view to 'live'. I understand if it looks better and needs more power, but it is almost unusable on even my beefed up desktop. Is there a way to tone down some things or is this something wrong that might be addressed in a future update Anyone else experiencing this as well Thanks!

Lights through gauzes and drapes
2239 2 - Started by Mark Powell, last post from Mark Powell
Hi all, I wonder if you can help:
I want to have a drape that light shines through, like a sharkstooth gauze. I have added a drape to my drawing and set transparency to anything from 50 to 90 but the light beams do not shine through it, they just light up the back side.
Is there a way of doing this
What Im trying to achieve is to have lights concealed behind the gauze and only revealed when they shine through it.
Many thanks in advance.

Recent Tutorials

Are there any recent tutorials. I'm new to lighting visualization software and have downloaded the student edition of Capture (Atlas). The most recent tutorials I can find date back to 2010. The tools appear to be very different and I'm unable to replicate even the rudimentary parts of the intro tutorial. Where might I find a beginners guide to the software

File types for import
1971 1 - Started by giametti, last post from Lars Wernlund
What file types does Capture import And what are the differences between import model and import data Is models for 3D and data for 2D
I've tried importing STL and DWG files of my theatre but it doesn't recognize these formats.
Thanks for any help. I'm trying the evaluate the software but I run into walls at every turn.

Hello,
I am testing the capture atlas demo version, i like it a lot.
I try to have the same aspect like in this picture from a plot that i got during a training period (it was made with capture argo):
But i don't find how to make this type of aspect ( i searched in the reference manuals and try different layers/style and the custom mode), i would that the wires appear on the fixtures. I get this result :
In custom mode and plot mode, the wires are symbolised by little points or are no...
