Layers visibility
12260 11 - Started by Judge, last post from Lars Wernlund
Hello, I have just bought the Solo edition and am well on the way to creating my first project, of of the stages at Glastonbury. I am loving this 0 its brilliant software and I wish I had bought it years ago.
Couple of questions - I am bulding in layers, such as stage, roof, truss, set etc. I have figured out how to assign objects to layers and to lock them from being edited, but cannot see a way to turn them off - ie hide them.
How is that done
Thanks

Scenes: can I "turn off" an object
2759 1 - Started by martinp, last post from Lars Wernlund
Hi, Am getting the hang of scenes now. Simple question is if I dont want an item in the scene at all at the moment I'm ending up moving it outside of the view. Is there a way of making the item disappear in a scene rather than be put in an imaginary scenery store

Plots and more

Hi.Could there be a option to select layerset in the symbolkeyOtherwise fixtures not in the plot layerset is showing up in the symbolkey. Also a manual selection of the symbol order would be nice.I like to suggest , if I havent before, an option to add text in the CAD inviroment. It works now but when having several plots and have to change the text on all it gets tricky. Also a Clone option when working with plots would make it easier, and a clone option on the layersets.Thats it for now...

Extracted objects and layers
3594 1 - Started by Deleted User, last post from Lars Wernlund
When I import things using Extract and dragging with the red arrow into my plot all the imported fixtures and objects have no layer.
It would be helpful if there was the option to
a) apply the currently selected layer to imported objects,
b) imported objects keep their layer information from the source file... either merging with existing layers that have the same name or automatically creating new layers in the destination project.

importing objects into an existing capture file...
3285 1 - Started by downstage42, last post from Lars Wernlund
I found that it is pretty simple to open a 3ds or dwg when starting a new project. Is there a way to import objects into an existing project, I would like to make some 3d objects of our standard inventory and be able to import them as needed..
Thanks!

Creating Video Presentation
3301 1 - Started by zach, last post from Lars Wernlund
I am looking to create a video presentation for a client and wondering the best way to go about doing it. Do I need to use an outside program like Camtasia or is there a way internally It also appears there is a way to patch and control the camera but when I go to the camera properties and attempt to give it a dmx address or drag and drop into a universe. Am I missing something Is there a place I'm not seeing in the manual Thanks for any advice.

Hi,
I have installed on my Mac capure Polar 2:11:22 and on the same Mac, Parallels Desktop 9 with windows XP.
On the virtual machine I work with MA2 on PC and on the Mac I have Capture working as visualizer.
My problem is that I can't connect the MA2 on PC and capture...
Can you help me with the correct procedure to do that
It is possible to work in this way
Thanks in advance
