Dear Capture Team,
I work with capture for almost three years now, and I really like what you improved since Argo came out, I really enjoy working with it, also your support is great. I do every show with capture. Now the first three shows of the seasons are done and I discovered a few minor bugs and have some feature requests for future versions.
1. Some Profiles like the ETC Source 4 jr can't rotate their blades, but in capture you can, so if you do the focus and use this property you will be having a hard time doing it in real life.
2. If you import a sketchup model with components containing components or groups, they will be seperated in capture, so after importing these you have to collect all related components to group them. Is it possible to do this automatically while importing the model?
3. I really liked what you did with PC-Fixtures, the lightoutput on stage with the Hotspot in the center and the softer edges, looks now much more simmilar to the real world than before, but if you use a PAR64 for example the apperance could be better. A PAR has a slightliy oval size, and no sharp edges, in fact it has a really dirty appearance on stage, in capture the PAR has a really clean and defined appearance.
Feature requests:
- I really like the paperwork-improvements you did in Argo, but there are still a few things missing, like tho have a comment or textfield-property where you can put information or just a name in
- I often work in theatre and the technicians ask me everytime if I can put the x, y, z coordinates of the lights in the plot, I did it by using the Circuit-Property, but it's a lot of work, to find out x, y, z coordinates and type them into a textfield by hand, is it possible to have these positiondata in the plot, perhaps using a plot style to choose which one to show.
- my last show had a lot of glas and mirrors. That is something capture can't do at the moment, but I am sure you're working on that, because I think I'm not the only one who would like to have a glass or mirrored surface.
- another very practical feature would be, if it was possible to set coordinates of the rotate-anchor, now it always uses the center and you have to move the anchor by hand, one show had a rotating stage so all scenery had to move around the center of the stage, but to find this point it was sometimes difficult.
Thanks for your hard work on a very powerfull tool.
All the best
