performance below expectations

My config:
Intel Q6600, clocked at 3Ghz
Nvidia 260GTX as main vidcard
Nvidia 8800GT for third display
4GB rap
Capture installed on Raptor Harddisk
Win Vista 64bit
1600x1200 Main display
1920x1080 second display where visualisation is displayed
Both displays connected to 260GTX
I have a not too complicated scene
3 sixbars as front, 3 sixbars back, 4 250 wash, 2 250 spot, 2 sixbars ACL and 4 Showtek sunstrip arrays
Everything works smoothly ... until i use the sunstrip arrays...

I just down loaded the demo version and I'm having trouble getting the fixture to light up. The video shows a 'Control' tab which isn't in the demo. How do I get the fixture to come on

Capture Polar SmartSoft Edition

Do I understand correctly that the Capture Polar SmartSoft Edition will work the same as the basic edition just won't interface with my ION I'll be able to use it to present concepts to my productors then upgrade later

Scroller Question

Hi again,
I have two questions concerning Scrollers.
Is there a way to reduce the number of frames in a given scroller rollI am using the Rainbow 8'' with control set to 16 frames, in Design it still says 33 colours. Is that what it should doIs there such a thing as a generic scroller or a scroller with 11 frames in the libraryKind regards

I'm running Capture Polar LightFactory Edition 2.3.7
Martin 518s (mode 3) appear to have reversed dimmer channel. DMX 0 is full on 255 is Off.
Am I doing something wrong (all other fixtures I've used appear fine)

Possible Issue with Polar Graphics

I seem to be having a slight issue with running polar graphics in capture polar 2.4.10. The issue that I'm having is that whenever the cyan filter of any fixture is set to maximum the fixture ceases to emit light. This doesn't occur on either the magenta or the yellow filters and only occurs in polar graphics, ie. when i turn polar graphics off beam colours show up just fine. This issue also occurs in fixed colour wheels, no green or blue colours show up. Is it possible that there is a problem w...

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to all this... I'm using Lightfactory on my laptop, and also running Capture on the same laptop. To make Capture see Lightfactory I've been told I need to create a 'virtual network' using a loopback connector. I've got my loopback connector but am now puzzled what I need to to with it to make Capture see Lightfactory....

Ion offline editor and OSX

I am using the Eos family offline editor and having trouble connecting. I have checked my settings in both Capture and the Ion editor no luck.. I am running OSX,
and have been able to get it working in PC.
Any tips greatfully received.

SmartSoft Edition - not "connecting"

I set up and patched a capture show - and things worked well. Now when I open the capture show - I can't control the fixtures with SmartSoft. The show opens with the lights on the way i saved it last time - but nothing works. Everything seems patched... is there somethingt I'm missing
