GrandMA with Capture?

Hi,
Im off for GrandMA training on wednesday and Im wondering if its possible to hook up the OLE to Capture 2005.
I know that GrandMA have there own 3D visualizer, but I know how to use Capture and prefer it to anything else on the market.
If there an easy way to link the two

Object library

Since Capture doesn't have very advance way to handle third party import objects currently.
We can't customize much of the size of any import objects. So I asume most of us build it with the capture itself.
I'm thinking would it be better for capture website to open another library section where all Capture users can upload their custom objects made by capture into the website library section. Things like cases, scafolding, computer table, curtains, array speakers, fountains, music instrument...

Using capture on a the same machine as MagicQ

Hi Guys,
I hope you can help, I am trying to get the demo version of capture to work with MagicQ PC on one local machine. I have followed the brief instructions given by MagicQ, but I can't get it to talk to it.
It seems to work with the exe version of the AwardsCITP demo that comes with MagicQ, but not with the full Capture.
My understanding is that MagicQ is transmitting the data to the localhost 127.0.0.1, but it does not seem possible to choose this IP address in capture. There are...

Conventional lamps - Shutter blades??

I&180;m playing with an ETC S4Junior in capture (duh!) and realising how wonderfully correct the program simulates the light with a filter and a gobo. Though I can&180;t find the shutter blades function or focus setting.
I&180;ve tried a couple of other lamps and haven&180;t found these features yet. Are there fresnels with barndoors

Demo in Lt Light edition?

Hello, I'm using the console edition LT Light edition, and when i create a demo i can't see any fixture i've put in the project. I only see the forms and the stage i have create!
Why I only can save an image to see the real project.
I don't understand : the finality of create a demo is to show the lights to someone, isn't it
So if you have some explanations...

Alteration of Unit measurements?

Hi folks,For some reason my install of Capture has defaulted to imperial measurements, with the metric in brackets afterwards. This means that unless I specify metres for example, it will be assumed that i am entering data in feet & inches. Can you tell me how to change this setting to metric only (or at least primarily)Many thanks,john

User DWG icon in Paper mode?

Hi Capture team,
Though of creating my own fixture icon (DWG) file and add into paper mode.
Normally, after I have finished the Visualization, I had to draw in DWG to send to my client and technical crew. So I was wondering if I could just change from Capture paper mode to modify to my own fixture DWG.
Just change the icon in paper mode to replace with user DWG file.
Eg, all the moving light icon in Capture paper mode shows the same icon.
Maybe have add-in function to replace the icon and a...

Im a student and cant afford the real version so im stusk with the demo version at the moment.
I have 2 questions:
1) How do i get my rig looking like the ones you see videos of on youtube.
2) How do i get my virtual desk, (avo pearl 2000) computer edition talking to capture
