In the event that you try to connect on the same computer please wait for Soundswitch version 2.9 which will be released soon. If you want to connect between two computers then it works already.

Soundswitch 2.9 came out today (with the Art-Net IP Address fix), however, it's not working with Capture's virtualizer. The Soundswitch app shows Art-Net is linked, but Capture does not "see" it (inside of Capture's section "Universe > External Universe").

I tried everything - opening up each app first, increased the fixture's shutter, lined up the universe and DMX channels, but still nothing is happening.

Any help?

The release notes say: "Art-Net Output to Localhost: Added option to output Art-Net to Localhost"

Based on your screen recording, that's probably the checkbox at the top right:

I tried the "Art-Net Output to Localhost" option but it doesn't seem to work.

Here's a 2-minute video showing the issue. @ 1:14 in this video, I show how Capture doesn't "link" to SoundSwitch, although the other Youtube video (using 2 laptops) did work for them. But not for me.

To clarify - that new Youtube link above is an updated video, showing how Art-Net Output to Localhost didn't work. I show how I think the issue is the Universes > External Universes column.

Although, @ 1:56 in the video I show how Capture's Connectivity Status is receiving Art-Net, but still nothing. I wonder if I'm doing something with the DMX Profile inside of Library, or if I'm doing something wrong inside the Live View > Gear Icon > Sequential > Channel ?

There are no tutorial guides for SoundSwitch and Capture, so I'd even be happy to screenshare and see if we can fix this together really quick. Whatever works.

Have you tried Universe 0 instead of 1? This could explain that you are receiving ArtNet, but have no output in Capture.

It now works 100% of the time, if you start SoundSwitch AFTER starting Capture. Thanks for everyone's help!
