Hi. I've added a material to a couple of objects (a projector screen and a touchscreen table). Both materials have the luminance function turned on. But even though it's on it doesn't illuminate nearby objects like it would in reality. I've also tried to turn the nits value to max, but there's still no effect. Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Textures cannot light objects, they only glow. You could try to get a more realistic effect by adding a generic bulb, behind a translucent surface (possibly with an alpha channel) and set Cast shadows of the object to No.

Hmm, I see. I’ve used the «translusent method» before to create the illution of a translusent fabric like a peppers ghost scrim. But in this case I need the objects that should emit/bounce light to be solid and not translucent.

Is it perhaps possible in some way to make the physical body of a fixture in capture invisible in the render, but keep the light emited from it visible?

If so, I could «hide» some led-panels to get the soft light from the objects and projector screen, that I need
