hexagonal beams

    I’ve been using the ETC Desire Fresnel LUSTR X8 fixtures for a while in a Capture design, and everything has been working fine up until now.

    However, recently I’ve noticed that the light beams of those ETC's are no longer round, but instead have a hexagonal shape at maximum zoom. When a small bundle is set, capture shows several overlapping circles.

    Other fixtures, like the ETC Fos/4 Fresnel Lustr X8 (which is very similar to the Desire), don't have this problem.

    In the meantime I have loaded the latest library and also upgraded Capture to 2024.0.44, but the problem persists.

    Has anyone else encountered this issue or know of any settings that could cause this problem?

    I am seeing this too. The lens itself renders perfectly as a fresnel though...

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The issue was caused by broken IES files from ETC that were mistakenly included in our library. We have now fixed the error, and the correction will be included in tomorrow's library update.
