    hi all !!!

    Is it possible to set the grid in order that 1 square = 1 feet... Or any other length for that matter.

    In plot view, using edit > measure i can measure but once i escape, I lose that measure. Is there a way to keep it?

    There are two places where you can adjust your grid size. In the Design-> Views tab and in the properties of views in individual plots. 

    When you make a measurement by clicking [Command]+[.] you can keep that measurement by simply clicking on the red measurement symbol that appears when you make a measurement. Otherwise insert a measurement from the Library ->Built-in -> Dimensioning toolset.
