Hi, need some help here on how I can control the visualisation with MA3 onPC. I have both running off the same laptop or do I need to have two laptops?

    It is pretty straight forward.

If you are using a VizKey, make sure that the Capture and VizKey are first connected into the system.
The vizkey will first license the needed parameters within the visualizer for them to be used freely

If using a command wing, you can communicate with Capture using sACN or Art-Net.

    Thanks for the response Juan.

I'm using onPC to control. Dont have any physical controllers yet. So I just need to purchase the VizKey?

How many parameters will the VizKey unlock.

    Thanks in advance

Vizkey will unlock up to 262 144 parameters, that is the maximum amount possible with any grandMA3 system.
This parameters won't be recognized by the console itself, but capture will work with that amount of fixtures while using the vizkey. And it also comes with the benefit, that it enables 512 parameters that can be used to talk to the world through art-net or sacn.

In the case of an onPC solution either if you get a PortNode onPC or any other onPC product, the maximum allowed number of parameters is 4,096.

So I would run Capture on one laptop and MA3 onPC on another one. Then both plugging into the Node? In this case do I still need to VizKey?

Without hardware, the grandMA3 onPC software won't connect. It is necessary to have grandMA3 hardware, such as a console, wing, node, or viz-key, to connect MA-Net3 on Windows or macOS with Capture. More relevant information can be found as usual on our connectivity options page.
