I'm sure I'm being an idiot, but I can't seem to make new layers in 6.5? Right clicking on "Layers" does nothing...
Can someone help an idiot?

Ooops!
v. 2.6.12
It'll be a while before you get to 6.5! Don't know where that came from!

Hi Iain,
Works here for me with 2.6.12. I take it you're on Windows, right? Which Windows version?

Windows 7.
I've tried with a clean new project, and I just can't create layers!

Oooh..... interesting.
It works fine if I'm working on my primary monitor, but not on my secondary one...

AHA! Now is that a coincidence - of all days, today I was trying to fix this bug that has been reported before, but I concluded it was out of Capture's control. I found a problem with where some windows appear when opened on a second screen (they always appear on the first screen instead), but this one I could see no problems with.
I'll take another look, and perhaps I'll get back to you for more info!
Meanwhile, the workaround is obvious.. :-P

I think we've finally managed to fix this now!
The problem appears on monitors that have been placed in the control panel so that they have negative start coordinate (to the left of the main display for instance). It has been fixed for version 2.7 now!
