    Hi Dilton,

That is really impossible to answer as it depends on so many things. Generally though you want to buy the most expensive gaming graphics card you can get your hands on!

Hello Lars, I understand that it is difficult to say exactly the best setting for the Capture run smoothly. I have a notebook i5 M450 CPU, 2.40 GHz and 4GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics. MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32-bist. When I open the file the note Club.c2p almost crashes! I wish I had an idea of setting minimum. Like, a video card 1 GB of dedicated RAM 4 GB would be enough? Another thing, I'm testing the demo see 8 DMX universes (A to H). Mode Extended Edition has more DMX universes? Thank you!

    Hi Dilton,

Take my word for it, we also wish it was an easy question to answer!

Anyway, the main bottleneck is the graphics card. A good page for graphics card comparison is http://www.videocardbenchmark.net where they have a search function and I found your card here http://www.videocardbench...u=Intel+HD+i5+M+450. I would definitely recommend a card that scores at least 2000 on these tests, but I realize you're using a notebook so you can't easily change the card.

On top of this though, no matter what card you're using, if you don't have decently fresh drivers installed, anything can happen. With old drivers, any card can turn into a disaster - so always start with checking the drivers!

Lars I appreciate the quick response, even in full sun. This makes me very confident about the support you provide to the customer! I ended up finding a topic with the answer you are looking for and see who really have to buy a new notebook ... what was already in my plans. Thank you for listening. I intend to soon become the Capture User. Still do some questions, as questions arise. Below is the topic that I mentioned. hug! Hi! Capture Polar is using graphics at a high level and your computer needs to be in good shape! Here is some useful information: Do not install Capture from a network drive or stand alone drive. Be sure to have administration rights when installing. When you start Capture Polar for the first time a message will tell if Capture is running in 2005 mode. You can change this setting in the Tools menu, Options / Visualization. Recommended hardware for PC´s with Windows when using Capture Polar: Minimum 1 GB RAM (the more, the better) An NVidia graphics cards (ATI does not support this kind of graphics so far) with a minimum of 512 MB VRAM (note, it's not the same as the computer's RAM) Windows XP or Vista For optimal performance of Capture (in this order) Run Disc Cleanup, Ccleaner is a useful free alternative: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner select "Download Latest Version" Get the latest drivers to your graphic card. Use both Windows Update AND the manufacturer's download site. Defragment your harddrives, right-click on your HD (typically C:) select Properties / Tools / Defragmentation and run it even if you get the message that you don´t need to. Lasse Berg, Capture
