    Hello,

I am having trouble with transferring my patch from a Capture show file to a Chamsys MQ100.

The process is happening partially, but it is only transferring a small portion of the rig and these are spread across many universes.

I have set the Chamsys to output MQ Direct and have also set the visualiser column to Capture (remote).

I'm not sure what is wrong, as the fact it is transferring some, but not all is rather confusing.

Capture is running with current v2.7.9 on Win XP. The show file was originally created Apr '2011.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

    Update:

I have since reinstalled Capture and also started with a brand new showfile.

Patch transfer worked fine with a single VL2000.

However, then I patched 6 Mac 700 spots and washes. As soon as I attempted the transfer I got the following message on the MQ100.

    "Can't find CITP personality Mac700 Wash (16)"

Does this sound like a Capture issue, or Chamsys?

    Cheers

    Hi Colin,

It seems that we may have introduced a problem with patch transfer in the latest version of Capture. We will be investigating this within short.

The "can't find personality" problem you are describing though is probably arising from the MagicQ having problems syncing it's library with Capture's. To be honest I have never used these functions in the MagicQ (yet) so I cannot help you out. I recomment that you approach ChamSys support with this!

This error messagemeans that the link in the MagicQ head file is not filled in. You can do it yourselve: - open MagicQ - goto Patch window - choose head - choose the Martin MAC 700 Wash - edit head - View General - Names - Fill in Capture Make (= Martin) and Capture Name (=Mac700 Wash) and save the head Now it will work.

Thankyou very much for the advice.

I'm not totally convinced this was the only issue however. It managed to transfer just one single Desk Channel, when many more were patched in Capture. The fact that it tranferred surely shows that in that case, the link was correct.

I am sure it was probably contributing to the issue though.
