Artnet from the same Mac?

    Hi everybody! I'm trying out Capture in the free edition right now. I'm currently writing a Software to control lighting installations which actually sends out Artnet data through the great OLA framework. Is it possible to receive the data in Capture when it's running on the same laptop? It works when using two laptops connected by ethernet... Btw, I'm working on Macs here... :-) Regards and thanks a lot for this nice piece of software! Benni.

    Hi, I work on PC, in windows You must install loopback card to send artnet from console to capture on this same computer.

    Hi Benni,

    This should be possible on the Mac yes. One trick to try might be turning on and off the firewall (!).

    Hi Lars! Actually yes, you are right! I didn't have my Firewall turned on but must have done something else wrong. I just tried one again and it does work! (Also I was always trying to add the loopback device in the Artnet IP-Adress settings, which isn't possible) So for the record: Recieving Artnet Data from olad (Open Lighting Architecture) on the Mac is possible and even works right out of the box. Thanks!
