Hello
CATALYST do NOT support CITP
Richard ( the Catalyst developer ), does not like the protocal at all... if you like you can search at the Catalyst forum catvx.com, plenty of infos over there.
Another nice idea, is if on the VIDEO area of Capture, if can see the USB or any external VIDEO DEVICE receiver. I belive that is easier to implement than VNC. And we can see any video source at Capture.

i have installed a dvi capture card , but it seems that capture polar does not support this ,,, is there any chance that this is a possible , add on for a future update , it would make interfacing with media servers much easier, i am trying another couple of options, but of course if they just implemeted citp in catalst it would be much eaiser

You can also use the Coolux Pandoras Box Desktop streamer. It is a free tool and streams your desktop or a part of it via CITP to Capture Polar.

hi luc , yes , spoke to lars about this he pointed me that way, but it means yet another machine in line, or running it on my capture machine which i am worried about loading down on the resources front , having to run the cappture card and the streamer, but i will try it over the weekend

Ok , did not have any joy with coolux streamix but managed to find a work around, ok are you ready for this
1 take capture card that capture polar wont see and place it in a machine with arkaos media master demo or full
2 load media master check the machine is seeing the card
3 start arkaos and go to libary 254 file 1 camera input and check the software is seeing the card
4 setup capture to see arkaos
5 i use chamsys , so set up your desk to run arkaos
6 set up your desk to also run your catalyst
7 bingo, catalyst into capture via arkaos
ok not the easiest of ways to get capture in, but its up and running and i can now programme my catalyst show for my client
all the best

Hi all,
I'm communicating with Richard to find the best possible solution, so it is on our todo-list to find a solution for this. It may be a little while though!
