    Ah A capture forum.

a good place to share with other capture users.

Thou I've asked long time ago.

Is there any plan to improve the fixture model in capture?
at least a better shape that the scanner doesn't always looks like a rectangle box. and the heads all look the same.

    Hi Justin,

Welcome to the forum! I suppose you are referring to the realtime CAD symbols and not the plot symbols, right? We have an ambition to replace these "generic" shape representations with proper shapes at some point in the future, but we need to extend our library a bit to support this and it's properly at least a year away at this point..

    Yes, the realtime cad symbols.

As I was wondering, is there any upcoming plan for capture 5?
Anything new on the near future release?
I've been expecting to see spread-sheet style for the information windows section.

    Hi Justin,

Well, sure there is a plan! The plan is long enough to cover several years of development.. most of it is prioritised just-in-time though, so it's difficult to say what will happen when. The nearest improvements to expect deal with DWG/DXF import and export, the fixture control tab and measurement objects.

I'm not sure what you mean with spreadsheet style - the fixture list was converted to a spreadsheet quite long ago...

    Hi Justin,

Yes, I have received your e-mail and will reply soon. I'm on the road at the moment.

The XYZ replacement bug is under investigation, but the changing drawing unit when importing is not a bug, it's a lack of information in the DWF file and a matter of correctly specifying the drawing unit in **CAD when drawing!
