Hi Everyone, so basically just been doing some intensive testing of systems we use and capture.. we work alot with media servers and video walls. captures connectivity is amazing and working great the only problem i have is the brighness of the screens and projection.. its so dull is there any way to get them more balanced againt the lighting (live view). Considering in real life a Martin EC 20 / 10 screen running at 100% will compete with the sun for lumen output but in capture looks very dim... thanks :)

So after some more testing today i think i have worked out what im seeing as low brightness screens..:

basically its all do to with the pixel pitch.. if I use a screen with a 7.5mm pitch its as bright as you would expect, then as you increase the pitch the brightness of the screen drops ie something like Martin EC 20 = 20mm pitch, looks really dull in capture..

is there a possibility to have a manual overide of screen "brightness" alot of the design's we use will have different screens from 5mm to 40mm pitch.. and we need to render these a little more realistically... ie EC 20 is really bright in real life.. i get the pitch issue but can we boost the output??

    thanks

    Hi,

We have a bugfix release 2.9.19 on its way out where we have fixed this! We had a calculation wrong - the panels now look properly blinding! (And, we have added an intensity property just in case you find them a tad too bright..). This release should be out within a few days.
