    Hi, it seems to me that specific types of truss are not so important to alot of Ld's, and certainly many Ld's including myself would not know all the truss types such as QD30SA for example. Seems that a generic truss section with simple descriptions would be very useful, i,e 12inch box truss, A type truss, ladder beam, etc. cheers

    Well, i can see your point however we have allocated a lot of resources in order to have these 4000 truss items in the library and soon there will be another revision to include anything that is missing at the moment. I am sure you will agree that this allows designers or technicians to have a better control of the reports and paperwork too.

    On the other hand, we already have a generic folder with basic truss elements that you can use exactly as you describe. Have you come across it yet? And if so feel free to edit them once you drag and drop them into a project to fit your needs or speed up your work if that information is irrelevant. It is as easy as dragging and dropping a generic box truss and making it 12" and then setting a fake length of 20m.
