I am attempting to import a DWG Vectorworks 2013 file into Capture. It all imports fine, but I can't seem to add fixtures to my drawing, nor can I get it to notice that I have lighting fixtures in the drawing! I am a new user so maybe this is part of the issue! But HELP!
Thanks.

Hi,
Please be more specific on what happens when you try to add more fixtures!
Regarding detecting fixtures in the imported DWG, Capture is not able to do that automatically. You can however drag a fixture from the library on top of a DWG block (assuming the DWG does use blocks) to replace that block with a 'real' fixture.

Well that answers one question! for the second one. I have imported the DWG file. It is built in Vectorworks 3D. When I go to add fixtures I get the block sign with an O and a slash through the side of it. So my main issue is for some reason, I cannot add "real" lights into the plot. Did I export it wrong?

Hi,
When adding new things from the library, make sure you're dragging and dropping them into a top, section or front view. You also need to drop items in "free space". Could that be it?
