Another question Vangelis. How can I use capture with controllers offline programs, so I cam make my cues at home? For example, if I have EOS Family simulator in my or another computer, how can I make Capture recognize it like the console and make my cues?

Once these controllers broadcast artnet then Capture receives it and this is how you can connect with any console. You will see the universes broadcasted in the external universes of Capture and then you can hook them up to the internal ones. You will find all teh info you need in our manual.

Sorry, but I read the whole manual and was not able to understand this. Enttec usb dmx pro is one of those artnet boradcasts that you say?

Hi, In order to make your cues at home you need to get the DMX control signal out of your console/controller and into Capture. This can be done either over the network using network protocols such as sACN, ETCNet2, ArtNet and others. It could also be done by taking the physical DMX cable from the console/controller and connecting it to the computer using a conversion device such as the EntTec DMX USB Pro which can take physical DMX and feed it into the computer's USB connection. There are also devices capable of converting physical DMX to the beforementioned ethernet protocols in which case it goes via the network cable rather than the USB cable. So, all in all there are several options available and it will depend on the equipment you have and its capabilities. Most offline systems today are capable of sending the DMX directly to Capture over the network (in the same computer or between different computers) using for instance ArtNet that Vangelis mentions. I would recommend that you read up on these technologies a little bit before attempting the connection!

Hello again. Ok, I tried with ETC EOS Offline and artnet connection. I put the same IP adress both in capture and the settings of EOS offline and activate artnet boradcast. The external Universe does not apeear for me in the Demo mode. I also check the firewall of my Mac Pro and it is disable. What shell I do?

Hi, I would advise that you seek help with ETC, there is a lot of EOS Offline knowledge at the ETC Forums (
