My next issue is when I import or open my 3ds-file its huge, as in the units that were 50' are now 3000'? So when I add an object from Captures library, like a person, they are super small. Any idea why this conversion is so off and how to fix this? Thanks

What you are observing is the result of lacking scale information in the 3DS format. You can change the size of the imported objects at any point by selecting them and adjusting the "Drawing Unit" property to match the design.

Just received the extended version. I'm having the same issue. So how can I resize to the scale of Capture? Also when I'm turning on the light I can't see it in my project. Is this because everything else is so big? Can I send you the file to look at? And one more thing, it won't let me import my materials?

The 3DS format, just like the OBJ format, doesn't support actually containing material texture images which need to be shipped along separate with the 3DS file. So first of all be sure that you've actually got a folder of images for the 3DS file next to the 3DS file. Unfortunately there are many ways this scheme can break - such as if the material folder is missing, has the wrong name, or any of the texture files in it have the wrong name. When that happens, there isn't much you can do.
