Just making a little show and i got a little question.

I got 6 Sunstrips and doing some chases to those.
Only thing is that my FPS goes down a lot. Basic on/off chase with wave pattern takes my fps down to 10-12fps. And it's a bit hard to see how that chase behaves.

    my computer specs are:
    Intel Q9400 2.66Ghz
    8Gb DDR3
    Nvidia 680GT
    SSD hard drive
    Windows 7

Lighting console is Compulite Vector Ultra violet.

    So my question is.
Can i make renders any faster with any kind of tweak?
Or should i buy some new hardware?

my CPU usage was about 10% when rendered and GPU was about 60% or so. but still a lot of resources to use. I can take 20 moving heads and do anykind of FXs with moves, but when it comes to dimmer chase it eats up my FPS.

    thanks.

    Hi,

Each aperture of a sunstrip is as resource consuming as a single light. This is why sunstrips are much more resource consuming than "regular" fixtures. On top of that, fixtures focused into the camera are very resource consuming, which sunstrips often are. Performance is something we're constantly working on, but it is a fight against technology.
