    Hey all

I am new to this and have watched the video manuals but am still struggling to get it. I have a few MAC250s placed on a stage and i am trying to set the gobos and colours for them. I have tried what the videos have told me but nothing works!!!, This is als the same for the scenes.

Could this have to do with it only being a demo version???

    Cheers

Are you using a lighting console or any offline editor? If not, then you wont be able to set the colour or gobos. If you have access to a lighting console, you can using an Enttec USB Pro to take the consoles DMX and allow capture to visualize the lighting. If however, you dont have access to a real console, you can download an offline editor, which may have support for Capture 2005. To give you an idea, I personally use the following offline editors with capture: Jands Vista Hog 3 Pearl simulator (I had to purchase a converter from Avolites). I hope that helps a little. Hey

I have the virtual smarfade (smartsfot) but can get the two to talk to each other. I have done the whole loop thing with microsoft but not sure what i have to do after that. I am a mac user so pc at time is a little foregin to me.

Also can someone give me a simple step by step to add scenes, so i can go Mac250 centre stage, moves to right hand side in scene 2, left hand side in scene 3. Pretty much the same as a stack.

    Cheers

    Hi Rodney,

If you are running SmartSoft on a Mac and Capture on a PC, you do not need to worry about the Loopback Adapter. The important thing will be to make sure both computers are hooked up on a network and that no (physical or software) firewalls are blocking either applications!

If Capture manages to speak with SmartSoft, you will see the SmartSoft universes pop up under the "Universes" tab in the project window, in the right hand list. Once you have that working, we'll help you out with the rest! :-)
