    Hi everyone

I have a question concerning basic hardware requirements.

on the capture website, it is stated that capture should run fine on any current computer/laptop. But on the same page it is that that graphic card needs to pass the mentioned benchmark at 2000.

now it turns out that basically none of the current MacBook Pro / MacBook Air / iMac (except for the very high end ones) comes even near this mark.

can anybody explain that to me?

    thanks, Johannes

The better the graphics card, the higher the score the better the performance in Capture, so 2000 points is a minimum requirement. As graphics card technologies progress so do the benchmarks on this page. Beisdes the minmium requirements it all depends though on the size of the projects you average. You can download the open air project from our website and see how this runs on your machine and also compare it to the size of your shows.

    Thanks for the quick answer......

so since 2000 Pointe are the Minimum requirements, it does mean it won't work good/smooth on the current Mac line, since the rate somewhere below 500 I think?

Well, we did indicate 2000 for a reason, so now it all depends on the size of your projects if the current mac line is good or not.
