    Hello!

Curious issue with the camera in perspective view: I tend to use the mouse wheel to zoom the camera in/out. Often, the camera appears to get stuck, and my mouse wheel won't zoom in any further. I can still roll the mouse wheel backward to zoom out.

Guessing that I'm maxing out some parameter of the camera, but I don't know how to adjust that. (I can still grab the camera in another view and drag it to the view I want.)

Can someone shed light on what's happening?

    Thanks!

    Hi Clayton,

A camera rotates and zooms towards/away from its focus point. When you change a view from Perspective to say Top, the focus position determines the center of the Top view. If you are zooming then once you've reached the focus point you cannot zoom in further. If you hold the Shift key while zooming you can move the camera and the focus point in parallell along its axis. A nice way of gaining better understanding about this is by selecting the camera you're moving around and observe it in another view; for instance, select the camera of the Beta view in the Alpha view and navigate the Beta view while observing what happens with the camera and it's "viewing cone" in the Alpha view.

Hi, Lars - That makes a lot more sense now. Thank you!
