If you're familiar with ETC consoles, you can go to their website www.etcconnect.com and download the "nomad" offline editor program. This is basically a fully functioning console version of their EOS family of consoles.
I use this for offline programming with the Capture program however I use two independent computers, one with the Capture program and the other with the Nomad program.
If you go this route, the Nomad has a feature called "offline w/viz" this allows the program to spit out DMX via a network cable to talk with the Capture program.
Takes a bit of set up but works great. Do keep in mind that the Nomad program has a feature built in that every few minutes causes all the fixtures in Capture to blink. This is a safeguard that ETC puts into it to keep the user from connecting up to a lighting rig and having a fully functioning console for free.
ETC has products that allow for the user to actually use the Nomad program to hook up to a rig and be a functioning console but, of course, they want you to buy them.
I'm not sure if you can use a single computer to talk between both programs.
If using two separate computers you have to network them so that they'll speak to each other. Service techs at ETC can talk you through this procedure as you have to use certain IP addresses between programs.
Hope this helps.
