    Hi,

    It seems Capture Polar contains a serious bug that prevents startup. We are working hard on resolving it ASAP;

    • Basic/Extended/SmartSoft Edition simply refuses to start up - aborts after splash screen on some hardware configurations. This appears to happen on some systems not capable of displaying Polar graphics. Capture should revert to 2005 graphics, but appears to abort instead.

      Important update: The registry fix we suggested earlier clearly did not work for all. We are currently testing a new beta of Capture that appears to solve the issue. It will be release immediately if it works.

    We keep updating this posting as we proceed.

    Hi,

    I have purchased capture 2 weeks ago.

    I momently run 05 because polar doesnt startup (graphics card to low).

    I have XP windows not vista!

    I downloaded the new version today but this also doenst work. I was told that it would automaticly co back to 05 graphics but it just fails to start.

    can somenone tell me when this problem will be fixed. because I want to use the polar edition for the paper plot functions (not the live graphics)

    Hi jovax,

    We have a startup issue with Intel GPU-based systems that we are working on solving. We haven't been extremely successful so far, but we have not given up home. However, in the meanwhile we recommend trying to find and install new graphics card drivers, when available!

    It seems I have the problem with my laptop you describe. It shows the splash window and then dies. I have tried to install a new driver for my graphics card but can't find any compatible. My video card is ati mobility radeon 7000 igp, and I am running windows xp on a toshiba laptop. I had no problems with capture before the polar release. Is there any chance of downloading the old 05 version, so I can do some work before you find a solution to the bug Yenz

    Hi,

    Is there someplace I can download capture 2005? I am having the same issue with seeing the splash screen and then nothing.

    It is a brand new Lenovo SL500 with an integrated 256mb intel display chip. I just ordered it for a customer and that is all he wants to use the machine for (he is fine with 2005 graphics). So I downloaded the trial for him and it won't even run on this machine..
