Loving the new Argo software, but I think I found a bug. It will work fine in Live/Perspective view for a while, but after changing things in a CAD view with Orthographic Top or Front, the Live/Perspective view stops responding. I can't grab objects, move the camera, or see any changes occurring. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks!

I've had this as well. Using a Mac, currently running Mavericks, upgrading to Yosemite now though.

Everything will be fine, and then the Live window will just stop working. The software carries on and doesn't seem to have crashed, it's just that the window becomes unresponsive. Even if changed to another view.

The only fix I've found is saving and restarting the software. Haven't had it happen for a few days though, no idea what I changed!

I experienced the same issue several times today, I'm using a windows machine. But in my case the Live view and the CAD view froze for a almost 30 seconds, I thought it was because I cloned an actor 4 times, but it also happened while I just moved an object by dragging it in a CAD view, I figured if I move an object by using the transform tool it doesn't freeze, just dragging it. After 30 seconds I could work as nothing happened, so I didn't have to restart Capture.

    System Configuration:

    Windows 8.1 Pro x64

    Intel Core i7-3840QM CPU @ 2.80 GHz

    32 GB DDR3 1600 MHz

    Samsung SSD 830 Series 512GB

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M (4096MB)

    Hi,

I just wanted to post to let you know that we're reading this. Unfortunately we don't have any good answer at all, so that will have to come later. :-(

    Hi,
I also experienced almost same problem.
Switched "gamma view" to Live/Perspective, then moved the camera for a few seconds, and then gamma view came to black.

Same problem happened in Live/Orthographic. Alpha/beta view is so.

I saved this project and restarted Argo, but gamma view is still black!

Hmm... I have to use the old Capture Polar...

Here is the screenshot and project file.

I wish Capture team to solve this problem :-)

    Hi,

As we don't have any indications of a general issue in the product we are forced to assume that these issues are due to your particular hardware and driver configuration. NVidia has recently released new drivers - I would suggest that you try these to see if it helps.

    Hi Lars,

This problem is still occurring but as it's so infrequent it's difficult to get an idea of what's triggering it.

I'm running it on a Mac Mini (late 2012), 16GB Ram, with the i7 processor.

Graphics is the built in Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB (small I know but I'm not exactly pushing it).

I have the Gamma window set to Perspective and Live. The only thing I've found is that it doesn't freeze up when you're using it, it seems to do it while you're doing something else and then when you come back to move the view it has frozen.

What I did today was moved the camera view to get a better look at a back truss, then moved the Beta view to bring that truss into view on the CAD view, then hung 6 Parcan bars of 6 on the truss.

Honestly can't work out what we're doing wrong here. The system says everything is up to date.

I have some free time today so gonna have a play with it.

Cheers guys, keep up the good work! :-)

    Hi,

We think we have manged to resolve this issue with the latest version of Capture Argo. It was related to dragging specific items across a Live view.

    hi!

I have mac mini and OSX 10.7.5.

for now I have managed to get something working on live window only about a minute after starting a new project, if at all.. i can select the fixtures or what ever there (can see the red frames), but after that it's just completely black. the program does not crash..

    capture version is student 20.1.8..
