I seem to have lost the option to create a box from the forms library and give it a colour.

The colour option is no longer there. I can add a material but not just the colour picker to make it black or grey etc.

Is there a new setting I am missing?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Starting with Capture Argo, objects are now coloured using materials, so you will need to create a material for your colour and apply that.

Ah yes, I had fun working this one out too! It's a bit of a pain whilst moving projects and models over to Argo, as you have to "manage" your materials more. I can see the longer term benefits of this method, such as reusing or updating a colour over several forms at once. Slower though, if you just want to quickly colour a single form.

The exception, Jon, is a ready-made object, like an actor or bar stool - these are still coloured the old way.

Brilliant. Thank you for answering that. It all makes sense.

Is there a way to create a custom library of my own materials for future projects or will I need to import them each time?

    Hi,

If you import an object that has a material assigned to it then that material gets cloned into your project as well. In the future it's quite possible that you will be able to pick individual materials from another project and clone them over as well.
