    Hey Guys,

so...I'm trying to make a flame torch, I've imported a sketch up model that is perfect, also created a material called "flame" with 100% luminosity. Is there anything I can do to make it output light? I can imagine I should have the same limitations of the bare lamp...But maybe there is some trick that I don't know yet.

In the next few days I will get the solo license (now I'm using the student) but maybe some suggestions could be useful.

    1. Folder navigation: it's a little bit tricky to get exactly what you want in a second...you need to scrollscrollscroll, and then again scrollscroll....I've seen a suggestion in this forum that I really liked to simply the menu. Also it would be nice to have a fixture image preview.

    2. Precision: sometimes I wold like Capture to be more like Cad software...I don't know if it's possible...but maybe a snap to grid option, a measure tool (that is not a symbol that i need to put, then modify eccecc.. ). The thing is that I have the feeling that drawing with Capture I am not precise enough.

3.Triangle: I am not able to take a triangle shape and make it isoscele ( hope is the right way to say it in english).

However, thanks for the new features and keep on going :-)

    Cheers

    Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. Capture does not yet support bare bulbs or "omnidirectional" lightsources, so you would need to fake it by placing multiple lightsources in the flame torch.

Regarding the folder navigation, if you're on Windows, did you know that (as per standard in Windows applications) you can use the keyboard to type for instance "Mar" to quickly jump to the first folder starting with "Mar".

Unfortunately I'm not sure what you mean by isoscele?

    Hello Yianno,

"Isosceles" is the right English word which literally means "equal-legs" , so in other words a triangle with two equal sides and the base simply not being equal to the other two (cause then it would be "equilateral"). And of course we support it , you simply pick a triangle form and you make the left and right sides equal and then the bottom side something else.
