    Hi to all,

I have a really heavy model imported from Sketchup, with a lots of grids and grills, which is really hard to render, because they consist of over a million polygons, so my idea was to replace these heavyweight objects by just a mapped face, in Sketchup this works fine, i have a png with transparent and solid, but when I import the model, Capture tells me that there is an unsupported alpha channel, so I tried to map the material in Capture as well, but then the transparency of the png is gone. Can someone tell me how I could get this work?

Another thing is, if I create a texture in photoshop and import it as material texture in capture, I get the error wrong format, can you tell me what formats are supported so I can save the images in the correct format.

    Thanks in advance

    All the best Marco

    Hi,

Capture does not support alpha-channel materials so you will not be able to use that approach.

Regarding the texture import from Photoshop it seems that JPG files from Photoshop are not EXIF, which Capture cannot handling. That's something we're looking into. Try saving them as PNG instead!
