    Hi there

I use Blender to design my stages, then export them to 3ds file, and then load the model via "import model" in Argo. This works great, everything is in scale and I can easily put in stuff that isn't in the library. Even the molton simulation seems to be functioning properly without any noticeable strain. However, the model(s) does not show up in any other view than CAD or live. Further, there are no color or material settings applied, so everything is grey. Is this improper handling from Blenders side, or do I have to set these things inside Argo?

    Thanks

    Hi,

We believe there may be one or even several bugs in Capture related to 3DS and are currently looking into this! Watch our for future updates and check out the release notes. In the meanwhile we're happy to report that OBJ export from Blender to Capture seems to work well.

    Hi Lars,

I'm also attempting to import an object in 3DS. I can see it in the import model window, but it doesn't show up in any views once I've dragged it into Capture.

I was able on one occasion to see it in Alpha view, when clicking "zoom to extents" and switching back and forth from CAD to Live, but I can't seem to repeat this process. Saving, closing and re-opening the Capture file didn't fix anything.

I've tried importing the model in OBJ and also SKP but haven't had any luck. The model was created in Rhino.

I'm running out of ideas, please help!

    Ben

(The model can be viewed perfectly in the important preview window when saved as a 3DS file).
