Next on my list of requests....

A lot of our clients seem to think .pdf is synonymous with .dwg or any other version of computer aided drafting format.

We get a lot of floor plans and layouts sent to us in .pdf format.

It would be really nice to be able to place a pdf as a 2D object and allow for it to be scaled up to size so we can use it for a base and build out quick lighting looks on top of existing pdf's

I tried importing the image as a texture map and mapping it to a rectangle but the scaling was really hard to accomplish....

Which while I'm asking for things... how about a tape measure? Dragging the measure object in and giving it a size is sort of clunky when you just want to measure the distance between two things.

The measure already exists in our library and you will find it under Symbols\Measures. As for the .pdf it is already in our lists so please stay tuned to our future updates/upgrades. Thank you for your feedback.

I am aware of the measure object.

What we are asking for is a functional tape measure tool. So you can physically point to any 2 points in the drawing and be given a measurement of the distance between those objects.

PUtting in a line object and guessing at the distance until you get it right is sort of cumbersome. Even if you could click/drag the arrow to the distance you want as opposed to going into the properties menu to change it's distance.

Just as an FYI til you get that feature, you can hold Ctrl and click just the arrow portion of the measuement tool and drag each side to the point you desire.

Looking forward to the update that allows importing a pdf as an underlay!
