Capture stopped talking to Magic Q PC

    Hello,

    I have Capture connected to another PC that is running Magic Q PC. Protocol is ArtNet.

    In the past few days I have been able to select fixtures in Capture and right click in the Live view to position the fixture. This has also tranferred pan/tilt information into the programmer of Magic Q.

    For some reason, this now will not work and I don't know why. I have changed nothing and now the only way I can position fixtures in Capture is if I either unpatch them or break the connection to an external universe, neither of which help much!

    Any advice would be greatfully received thanks.

    Hi,

    I seem to have solved my own problem but i'm not too sure where I went wrong. I am assuming it is the order I start software but I cannot replicate my problem.

    Capture was recognising external universes as "ArtNet Universe 0, Sub-Net 0, Input 1" but now it is recognising it as "ChamSys Magic Q, Universe 1"

    At least it's working now!

    Hi,

    What probably happened was that ArtNet was not working properly before so you were connecting with CITP. Now that ArtNet works again and for some reason CITP did not connect (usually it takes precedence) you just got ArtNet which is not capable of talkback.
