Curious to hear if anyone has a work around for this...

I currently use outward facing LED strips (colorforce 72s, cyc fx, etc) in a lot of my designs and I am having a hard time visualizing them.

In capture polar, the face of the LED strip would illuminate and it looked great. However in Argo/Atlas I have been fighting to get them to show up when I am rendering in Live view. If you get the camera just right you can make out a handful of strips. Pitching designs with 100+colorforce 72s is now much more difficult and I have to edit the image in Photo Shop to get a more defined outline.

    Anyone else run into this?

    Thanks!

+1 for this! Never a problem until Atlas and I've been trying to show a client some ideas for Chauvet Epix Strips and you can't really see them at all. Even with atmosphere lighting at 0%...

I you tired changing Multiple apertures visualization from Automatic to Realistic in Rendering settings? I haven't ried it, but worth a shot.

I found if you turn on spill lighting in the rendering settings it helps a bit. Still not great, but definitely an improvement.

.....I've gotta mess around with this to see what's up.
Is it possible to upload a screen shot?

Ok.....I see what you guys mean.

I've strung 10 72" ColoForce across a make-shift stage, facing out, and turned all of them on. When I scanned the camera from SR to SL I too noticed the lens of the strips that were further away from the camera, did not have any lens glare. Strips in front of the camera or ones the were 10 to 15 degrees left/right of the camera, depending on zoom, also showed lens glare.

Spill Lighitng is the only option that makes some difference.. Thanks, colep!

I did take screen shots, but have no idea how to copy them into a post.

For fixture requests or erros please mail library@ and the fixture developers will take it from there.

I'm not sure if it's a fixture error or a rendering error within the program. It happens with any LED bar/strip I add into any scene
