    I've recently been exploring the demo version of Atlas, and am having some issues importing fixture patch data that has been exported from a Vectorworks plan - is anyone able to provide any assistance on exact export/import settings to make this work properly? I feel like I've tried a multitude of combinations to get this to work to no avail.

    I've been exporting the model using 3DS, and the data using "File>Export>Export Instrument Data" with a variety of included fields to be exported.

    Can anyone offer any direction? Thanks all!

    Hi,

    The data import function in Capture Atlas reads data from a text file and merges this data onto existing fixtures. This is why you need to choose a column in the text file and match it to a fixture property in Capture, so that Capture knows which lines' data to add to which fixtures in the project file. That means that Capture is not able to add fixtures to your project based on information in the text file.
