I completely agree that this feature is necessary, at least for all strobe and mole / blinder fixture types.
"Strobie" is right that, no matter whether smoke is set to 1% or 99%, blinders and strobes are much too bright compared to the rest of the lighting.
When programming live, if I turn on the blinders or strobes even to 5%, the whole rig disappears in a white bloom, and frame rate drops to zero. This problem is much worse with 4 Martin Atomic than if I take 24 Martin Vipers and point them straight at the camera.
Currently, my work-around is to turn the blinders and strobes to "emit light = no", but this makes them very difficult to see, which is not useful for programming.
If there were a way to have blinders and strobes light the room as normal, but ignore the smoke, I believe this would give a good result.
