Connecting to Chamsys MagicQ

    Using MagicQ with Capture, no problem with network connections for DMX/Universes etc., but not sure what to do with the console link, it shows "Chamsys MagicQ as the Project Console Link. Besides ArtNet/SaCN what should I be able to do between MagicQ and Capture with the console link? e.g. Read the patch file from one to the other or both directions? Can't really say what's working or not working, because I'm not sure what I should expect to see.

    Well answered my own question. So if you set up your fixtures in Capture and then Cap Viz on the MagicQ patch window it will load all the fixtures from Capture to MagicQ and put MagicQ in a mode where if you select a fixture in MagicQ it will select it in Capture. I think it is doing this via CITP. All worked well except it didn't recognize one of the fixtures. Also, you have to assign a channel number in Capture and that will become the Hd No in MagicQ.

    Hi,

    A console link can be established either using the Hog Connectivity Drivers or CITP. With the Hog connectivity drivers you get the ability to select and focus fixtures in Capture. With CITP there are numerous possibilities and it comes down to what the console has implemented, hence we must refer you to the console manufacturer for any questions on what is possible and not through CITP.
