    Hi,

I wondered if anyone could help me please. I have set up a whole load of lighting fixtures. Unfortunately when I activate certain ones the ambient light reduces and the other fixtures dim to. Is there anything i can do to ensure that when i have fixtures on they stay at the intensity I want and also not interfere with the ambient light please.

Just to add the demo shows work perfectly on the laptop. Also the fixtures live are not reducing in intensity when others are selected. It seems to be down to laptop settings.

Since you mention changes in the intensity of the fixtures it is advisable to check the exposure setting of the view used in live mode. Automatic exposure can be turned on or off, while if it is set to on then the exposure value can be adjusted between -3 to +3.

Remember to explore the rendering settings of a project file, which can be adjusted to match the hardware performance of your system.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

If I set to automatic how do I adjust between -3 and +3 please.

Also I have played with rendering settings and took them down to low where I could. But even when not adjusting rendering settings the demo shows play absolutely fine with no adjustments needed by me.

Also to add, the laptop I am using is a Dell Inspiron 5559. I made sure and got the same laptop that the Zero88 team were using when I went there for some FLX training. It does seem to be a laptop performance issue though. If I keep the live view (which I am using in Gamma view) to a minimum size the problem is not so bad but still not useable for programming as the intensities seem to pulse on and off. When I enlarge the view the intensities drop straight away. I looked at the manual and it mentioned enabling 'Simpler Graphics' but do not seem to find how to select this option if that may help.

For hardware performance please check our FAQ page.

The settings -3EV to +3EV can be adjusted in the view settings where it says "exposure adjustment".

Thanks very much. I have adjusted it to +3EV and it all now seems to be working fine.
