Hi!
I'm having a problem when printing plots from Capture Polar as PDF's in OS X Snow Leopard. It seems that changing the capture page settings does not affect the PDF output - the plot seems to be correct in Capture, but the saved PDF is always sized as portrait A4 showing only part of the plot (the plots are landscape A3s).
Is this a problem somewhere between Capture and the OS X print system or am I just missing a setting somewhere?

Hi Lauri,
It is important when printing to pay attention to the settings of the printer in the printing dialog as well, not just the settings provided by Capture. So when you hit print in Capture and the OS X dialog appears, make sure that the setting in there is landscape as well!

That's just the thing: I don't see any options for paper size and orientation in the OS X print dialog. I'll attach a
screenshot
.

I found the paper settings dialog, but it seems like it still doesn't do a thing for the PDF. I can select paper size and orientation only, if i check "scale to fit paper", and even then it prints as portrait A4. The size seems as well to be limited to what my installed printer is capable of (my printer is A4, and I need an A3 sized PDF).

Hi Lauri,
I've done a bit of research now. Capture will compensate for landscape/portrait changes, but only as long as the paper size is the same. So, if your plot is in A4 landscape but you print in A4 portrait, Capture will 'rotate' the plot so it comes out right. But, if you've made an A4 plot and print it in A3, it will not work as the paper size doesn't match.
After some unsuccessful attempts to create an A3 PDF it's clear that we need to investigate the matter further on our side. More information will follow.
