    Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to dolly (move in and out) the main camera in the 3D view. Right now my scroll wheel simply zooms the camera which can get annoying to use when I am moving around a lot. What tends to happen is I zoom in too much and then I cant really do much since the camera's frustum is so small. I would really like to have another shortcut (maybe shift + scroll) to move the camera in and out instead of zooming the camera.

As an added benefit it would be nice if my 3Dconnexion mouse worked with the dolly feature. Currently it works perfectly with all of the other camera features.

    Thanks!

    Hey there!

Yeah...I don't know of a way to dolly a camera using keyboard shortcuts with the mouse wheel. If you find some trick on your adventures, please share. :)

It doesn't happen on the fly, but what I've been doing is click and dragging the camrea in the 2D view that is being used for the 3D view. I normally do this to maintain the FOV.

    +1 on your shorcut suggestion!!

    Best!

Holding the Shift key is supposed to let you zoom in free-flight mode as long as you are using the zoom button and not the scroll wheel, however upon testing I just discovered this does not work. We'll have it fixed!
