Would it be possible in a future software update to consider the following, and would anybody else find these features useful? •A library item/ colour creator utility – to enable users to create their own colours or additional fixture library items, which could be uploaded to Capture Sweden for possible inclusion in the main library •Add an option to filter reports by individual fixture type to therefore only show certain fixtures in the list •Add an additional column in fixture reports to include the fixtures DMX address in binary – useful for fixtures that still use dip switches like Atomic strobes •Make unit/ colour and focus information on plots appear the right way up on a page regardless of fixture orientation •In a plot view have an option to reset fixtures direction to a default location after ‘focusing’ fixtures in the live view, to make fixture information easier to read and prevent it being hidden behind adjacent fixtures •Enable inserting of reports into plots – or at least copy and paste from report •Wider range of plot symbols to make reports clearer/ look more professional ie strobes, LED pixel battens, moving lights, strobes, smoke machines, fans •Ability to insert symbols for: Rigging points different shape options and text input for SWL and point name, Centre lines and rulers on the side of plots •Improved control of the perspective view within a plot Many thanks!

    Hi Simon,

Just a few comments from our side..

•A library item/ colour creator utility – to enable users to create their own colours or additional fixture library items, which could be uploaded to Capture Sweden for possible inclusion in the main library
    >Is on our list, albeit with low priority.

•Add an option to filter reports by individual fixture type to therefore only show certain fixtures in the list
    >This can be achieved using Layers and Layer sets, although painful if you have many fixture types.

•Add an additional column in fixture reports to include the fixtures DMX address in binary – useful for fixtures that still use dip switches like Atomic strobes
    >Good point!

•Make unit/ colour and focus information on plots appear the right way up on a page regardless of fixture orientation
    >Also on the list, although low prio (few requests).

•In a plot view have an option to reset fixtures direction to a default location after ‘focusing’ fixtures in the live view, to make fixture information easier to read and prevent it being hidden behind adjacent fixtures
    >The fixture do auto-rotate to the right angle? We can't really prevent them from becoming hidden though.

•Enable inserting of reports into plots – or at least copy and paste from report
    >Definately on our todo-list!

•Wider range of plot symbols to make reports clearer/ look more professional ie strobes, LED pixel battens, moving lights, strobes, smoke machines, fans
    >Under consideration..

•Ability to insert symbols for: Rigging points different shape options and text input for SWL and point name, Centre lines and rulers on the side of plots
    >Also on our list!

Hi Lars, Many thanks for your replies! I will definitely look into your advice regarding the layer set method of filtering report data Great shame about the plot view information, the only work around I have at the moment is to have two version of the design file, one that I 'focus' in the visualiser, and one that I don't, so that I don't have to individually move lots of generic fixtures back in line so colour and patch information can be read before printing plot views - just makes updating two sets of files a bit tedious sadly, be so grateful if you’d consider an option to ignore focus information or similar in the future. Regards, Simon

    Hi Simon,

I'm slightly confused by your plotting comment. When a view is in "Paper" mode, you can move and rotate the fixture symbols as you wish, without affecting the visualization. If you don't want the symbols to "autorotate", you can also change the "Plot symbol snap" property to 90 degrees to have symbols only N/S/E/W facing. This should mean that you don't need to keep two files!
