Why i don`t upgrade

    Really, i like Capture.
    But i don`t upgrade.
    Why???
    Because i only need 8-10 DMX Universes.
    4 is not enough, unlimited is then to "expensive" for me.
    The rest of the Unlimited Option i don`t need.
    I now work with a Argo Basic Version. In this i have my 8 Universes i need.
    Upgrade to Capture 2018 Quartet cuts my Option, Upgrade to Symphony don`t p(l)ays for me.

    From Capture Argo Basic we had a promotional upgrade to Capture Symphony for only 699 euros. Why didn't you use that offer in the past? Any sales related questions should be emailed to sales@capturesweden.com since the forum is a place where also users should be able to answer you.

    Its been said before, but if you are designing lighting rigs that use 10+ universes then you ought to be being paid enough to afford it. Clients realise that pre-vis comes at a cost and most are prepared tp pay.



    Of course many people still expect us to give our time for free, but not generally.
    Capture is still a good deal, esp compared with the others. And especially now they are working with Avolites.

    No no, please don`t missunderstand me.

    I not need 8-10 full Universes.
    Work in a Theater. In this i have two rooms.
    Univers A works in Room 1 with my Dimmers, Houselights, Moving Doors, Windowcontroll,....
    Univers B is for my Moving Lights in Room 1.
    Univers C is then Dimmers, Houselights,... for Room 2
    Univers D then for the same MH in Room 2.
    So i don`t must change DMX Adress for my Lamps.
    My Chief buy me Robe DLS. For this machines i need the Universes E and F, one in every room. Not the complet Univers.

    And then i need 2 Universes for mobile LED Dimmer, Hazers, Fans, mobile Dimmers for FL Lamps,...

    Don`t wanne mix this lamps during my Universes.
    For thats i need the 8-10 Universes. Not for a Show like the ESC...

    And,.... I personal buy me the Licens, not my Theater or my Chief.
    My intention was not screw prices down or some like this.It was also not a complaint.
    I think more in direction not Universes but Parameters, Adresses will buy.
    And i try to listen if i be alone with this idea. Thats all.

    Thank you for your feedback, please make sure you always share with us your concerns. Indeed we have considered changing from universes to "parameters" as you say, but it was not as straightforward from a user experience. This will not change in Capture 2018 but we might always revisit this in the future. In the meanwhile I would suggest that you mix in a universe dimmers and fixtures instead of having many empty channels in a universe.
