I just opened my first show into Capture 2018 after changing to DirectX setting and have noticed that luminance doesn't seem to have carried over in the materials. Doesn't seem to be adjusting when I change the level either, just dark. Works on OpenGL. I didn't see anything in the Rendering settings that might help. I am also noticing some steppiness in general in both versions. Not a huge show and render settings turned down. Have 3-4 universes worth of stuff.
Windows 10 Pro, DirectX 12, Nvidia 1050 Ti, i7-7700HQ, 16GB RAM
