    Hi

I have been having some issues with Capture Polar running on different hardware (to see if it was specific to one machine or OS).

I have a fairly simple rig consisting of over 40 LED fixtures with and some moving lights.

When I start Capture up, the rig responds as it should and I am able to freely navigate in the 3d space. However over time, the refresh rate drops to what looks like 1fps and its almost impossible to navigate in Live mode. I current have to switch to CAD view to position the camera and then change to Live.

I have tested this on the machines which range from 256mb or graphics up to 1gb.
Ram has been from 2gb to 8gb
Processor has been from Intel Core Duo to Intel i7.

The problem persists on all but is slightly better on the machine with 8GB or ram, 1GB graphics and an i7 processor.

All machines have also had there graphics drivers updated to be the latest versions.

I have also noticed that when I change the transparency setting on all the above machines, in Live view, it has no affect. However it does clearly work in the design view (using 3d perspective).

    Cheers

    Michael.

    Hi Michael,

That sounds fairly odd. Does it always grow slower over time, or is it something specific you do (moving the camera, ways you use the lights, how you control it etc)? If you could please send me your showfile I would really like to take a look at it, lars@capturesweden.com.

(Transparency is currently not working in live mode I'm afraid, we're working on that!)
