Error when starting on the demo

    For some reason when starting a new project on my demo version on my laptop it immediately becomes unresponsive and then presents me with an error message. Tried alot of things but still can't get it to go any further than a basic start up. Is this a known issue or do i just need to keep trying stuff.

    I installed it on my main pc and it works fine on there.

    Hi Gemel,

    When this happens, it's usually a graphics card related problem. Most of the time, all you need to do is get the latest drivers from your graphics card manufacturer!

    Hello again.

    We just started using this at university and i am again trying to get it to work on my laptop. I updated my graphics drivers and on capture -> about it says that it passes all the graphics tests but still has the issue when trying to either load or start a new project that is freezes up, all the workspace screens turn white and it crashes to desktop.

    I just don't understand why it won't work on my laptop. Any help or advice would be awesome, I can post my specs if need-be.

    Hi Gemel,

    I'm afraid what you're describing is a typical driver issue. You say that you're using a laptop - how recent is the driver you managed to find? Was it from the laptop manufacturer or the graphics card manufacturer (typically ATI or NVidia)? Often, the laptop manufacturers are far behind in updating the drivers and if you can get hold of the driver directly from ATI or Nvidia you may have better success!
