    Hey there

On 2019 the new Mac trackpad features are really awesome! They are only awesome when using the trackpad, as soon as you use an external mouse now on a Mac, being a laptop or Mac desktop you can't use the scroll wheel to zoom? It now orbits on the scroll wheel.

There has to be a way to disable the MAC trackpad features when using a normal external mouse but I can't find it.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks

I see this also. It is not possiple to use " zoom on cursor " with a Magicmouse. This is my main - navigation and cut my workflow really down. Please bring this Option back.

The Apple Magic Mouse basically has a trackpad on its top surface. Previously this triggered zooming but now behaves as the standard apple trackpad. It can be made to zoom by holding Ctrl. Another workaround that worked to most of our users is the use of a basic mouse with a dedicated scroll wheel but the final behavior on this solution depends on mouse drivers.

However, since we have this request from other users as well, we are currently investigating on adding an option to change the behavior of the Mac mouse to zooming rather than orbiting but we can not promise you at the moment if and when will this be available.

    Thanks for the reply.

Just to be clear I wouldn't like the functionality taken away, When I'm on my laptop its really nice. I would just like an option to revert to normal mouse usage if someone is using a normal external mouse. Or possibly a similar usage as Sketchup, They have a function of pressing CMD and Ctrl and clicking you can orbit, or you press "O" for the orbit tool.

I have seen since my original post, that if you use a mouse that doesn't have sideways scrolling then the zoom works on the scroll wheel. Looks like I just have to maybe find a different mouse My MX Anywhere isn't unfortunately going to work.

    Thanks a lot

    Same issue here!
It cut off all my workflow!

Can we expect an update on this issue soon? Otherwise, I´m gonna have to downgrade...

    Thanks.

We are now working on implementing an option for the user to choose the behaviour of the scroll, so I would kindly ask for a little patience until our next update release.
