Issue when launching Capture 2020

    I am experiencing a problem when I launch Capture 2020 on Windows 10.

    Since updating to 2020.0.42, anytime I click on the icon to launch Capture, a window pops up, asking me to install Capture. Since Capture is already installed, I I click on "no" and then Capture opens normally.

    It seems like that Capture 2020 icon launches the installer.exe, instead of the application itself?

    It might not be it, but I am bit confused and never seen this before. What should I do?

    Thanks for posting.  Haven't updated yet, so good to know.  You might try right click on the app and 

    then under "more" select run as administrator.  Otherwise, hopefully someone else will have an answer.

    Capture is likely attempting to update your fixture library. It checks if a newer one is available when it launches.

    Thank you for your insight.

    Yesterday after launching Capture 2020, I ckicked on Yes (as, yes, go ahead and install the software) to see what was going to happen next. 

    The Installer.exe window disappeared, Capture launched normally, and has been launching normally since.
