    Hi folks,

For some reason my install of Capture has defaulted to imperial measurements, with the metric in brackets afterwards. This means that unless I specify metres for example, it will be assumed that i am entering data in feet & inches. Can you tell me how to change this setting to metric only? (or at least primarily?)

    Many thanks,

    I don't think there's a setting for that yet.
But I'm looking forward on this for the future release.

It's strange though, because installation on other machines reverts to metric by default, so it must choose from something, perhaps an OS setting?

    Hi John,

Capture uses the measurement settings in your computer! So if you change the locale settings in the control panel to use metric units, so will Capture. Please note however that you can always use any of the two systems to enter a figure by making sure to end it with the proper unit, such as m dm cm mm ' " etc..

ah, good stuff. I had to tell the machine it was in the US to register some silly program, I suspect I just forgot to reset it to UK locale. Thanks Lars :o)

    Ah!.
thank you John ! for starting this topic. I have no idea about this at hidden feature inside Capture.

Thank you Lars for pointing out on this. But, isn't it better to have the option to set this in the software itself?

Now, is there anymore hidden tricks in Capture?
Maybe it is better to have another new manual for now or perhaps the next release.

    Hi Justin,

For most users I think it's better that Capture adjusts itself to the local settings rather than having to search for the setting!

Regarding hidden features, I guess you maybe haven't found the built-in calculator either? :-) You can read about that and how the measures work in the Reference Manual... ;-)

perhaps all the hidden features should be the subject of one of your new videos Lars? 'Tips and Tricks' or something?
